The Science and Technology Award presented by the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture holds significant recognition, being approved by the Office of National Science and Technology Awards and included in the List of Social Science and Technology Awards. It commands an authoritative reputation within the realm of landscape architecture technology in China, standing out as one of the most esteemed and valuable accolades in the Chinese landscape architecture domain.
The 5th Garden Expo in Hebei Province, situated in Kaiping District, Tangshan City, spans a vast 2.18 square kilometers. Embracing the ethos of 'ecological restoration, preserving historical charm, and fostering sustainable development,' the project unfolds as an everlasting garden expo. The site's origins trace back to industrial abandonment post-coal mining, and through a harmonious blend of ecological restoration and geotechnical engineering, Zhenghe Ecology has meticulously crafted the park's landscape framework.
Distinguished by five thematic ancient architecture courtyards—Royal Garden, Tangfeng Garden, Lingnan Garden, Suzhou Garden, and Shanshan Garden—the exhibition gardens seamlessly integrate pavilions, bridges, and structures along the meandering rivers and mountains. This synthesis encapsulates the essence of five distinct regional styles of traditional Chinese gardens. Beyond its aesthetic allure, the expo grounds also serve as a hub for public services, hosting temporary exhibitions and cultural activities.
